31 weeks down . . . 9 weeks to go!

Well I have a feeling that the posts are going to start coming closer and closer together, now that we go to the doctor every 2 weeks and shortly, weekly. This morning we had a doctors appointment - probably the quickest one yet so nothing new to report. But as usual here is a picture of my growing belly.

We met with a pediatrician this afternoon, who was referred to us by my doctor, as well as a friend. Got all those first time parents questions answered. Something to check off the list! So weird to think we are setting up a doctor for our son that will be joining us in about 2 months!

Also, a big congratulations to our very good friends, Christian and Beth, who welcomed their little girl, Sydney Marie on Wednesday. We are so happy for you and can't wait to meet her!

29 weeks

We just got home from our 29 week doctors appointment. We now start going every 2 weeks, which is crazy to me how quickly time is flying by! Today we had the gestational diabetes test . . . not nearly as bad as some make it sound to be. I love sugary sodas, which is exactly what the drink tasted like - so not a big deal to me. Baby Baker is measuring where he should be and his heartbeat was completely normal. He is moving ALL the time now and they are such big movements. After drinking the sugary drink for the test, he was all over the place and now my whole stomach moves and I can feel where his elbows/knees or whatever they are go. So insane. Well as promised on appointment days . . . here is a belly pictures at 29 weeks! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Lake Michigan

We just returned from a wonderful summer vacation at Sara's family cottage on Lake Michigan. Sara had 2 weeks there with her mom, sister, and niece, Madison and Mike joined for the last 5 days. It was wonderful and we celebrated our 1st anniversary! Enjoyed many days of beach, water, boating, Sailors Lunch, ice cream and the wonderful lake thunderstorms. It was Madison's 2nd summer and so wonderful to watch her take it all in. It makes me so excited and amazed that next summer we will have a 10 month old there. Sara is the 6th generation to be able to enjoy the cottage and it continues to get better every year and appreciate how special and fortunate we are to have this wonderful haven. Here are just a few pictures of our vacation. Madison is so completely photogenic, it is impossible not to take many pictures of her and Mike learned to sail for the first time! He did so awesome even on the VERY windy day. It was a wonderful time and until next year . . .
