The other child . . .
We certainly don't want to forget those that were here first! Naismith had his 2nd birthday on Thursday, March 20th!! :-) We wanted to include him in the blog so that he didn't feel left out! I think he is excited for the new little brother/sister that will be joining us!

Baby Baker in 3D
Today we had our 1st trimester screening, which included ultrasound and some blood work. Today Sara is 12 weeks. It is amazing how the growth has changed so much in just 5 short weeks. To the left is an ultrasound picture as well as a 3D picture (I know, alittle creepy :-)) from today! The 3D was live when we got to see it and Baby Baker was very active . . . jumping, flailing arms and legs, etc.Sara was horribly sick this last week
with a head/chest cold but is gradually getting through it. Mike too got the cold, but was able tokeep it contained with popping NyQuil right away. Poor Sara didn't get to take those good drugs!
Not much more happening for a few more weeks. So will post more as more becomes available!

Just the beginning . . .
Well, today was an exciting day! We finally spread the news of Baby Baker! Today Sara had her second doctor's appointment and we were able to hear the heartbeat. Unbelievable! Baby Baker is 11 weeks. It has been a long 7 weeks since we found out and keeping our mouths shut, but glad this 1st trimester is almost behind us.To give a breakdown, we found out we were pregnant on January 17th, didn't have our first doctor's appointment until February 8th where we had a sonogram (see photo above). Again, unbelievable! Luckily Sara has had a very easy first few months and the pregnancy symptoms haven't even been present (but realistic about what's to come!)
We feel so very blessed to be granted this wonderful experience and Sara is looking forward to the next 6 months and then we are so excited for the many years following!
Since blogging seems the "thing" to do these days, we thought that this would be a great way to keep friends and family in the loop with our lives and everything that goes on. Not like 2007 wasn't crazy enough . . . but this year should too be a blast!
